Las Posadas is a Mexican and Spanish tradition, and here at CSMPC it teaches the true meaning of Christmas. Children and adults accompany a Shepherd in his search for the Holy Family. The shepherd shares his story of the importance of finding the Christ Child and what the birth of this Child means for our future.
The shepherd leads the children around the Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center in search of the Holy Family. Upon reaching the “live” nativity, the children are given a brief lesson i.e. Is There Really A Santa?, Being a Lamb in the Flock, etc.
Appropriate for children of all ages. No ticket required. However, we ask you to call the center to reserve your space at 225-752-8480.
